TUESDAY QUOTE OF THE WEEK LXIII

FINDING TRUTH WHEREVER IT MAY BE FOUND - "If God gave virtue immediate recompense we should straightaway find ourselves engaging in commerce instead of perfecting ourselves in His service." from a second century homily.

QUOTE II - "We're all damned angry we're not God." Fr. Gene Fulton

IN OTHER NEWS:

I thought the site called "Is This Your Name?" was pretty cool. I found out such interesting information such as, "According to the US Census Bureau°, 3.283% of US residents have the first name 'John' and fewer than 0.001% have the surname 'Valencheck'. The US has around 300 million residents, so we guesstimate there are 0 'John Valencheck's." There was also this:

Are you Well Envoweled?
How well envoweled is John Valencheck? We checked 1,000,000 names and 84.4% had more vowels than 'John Valencheck'. That means you are
modestly envoweled.
Check your envowelment, find your Power Animal, and see your name in binary at isthisyour.name

My cousin sent this video in. It's a bit too sweet for Sunday Video, but just the same I think some of you really like these cute kid videos so here you go.

Somebody asked for a Gregorian Chant site akin to the link posted on Change Ringing. MJ made a valiant attempt and found this site on which there are links to hear different chants of the mass. Thanks MJ.

Psssst! Guess what?! L.M. (who has posted here often) has decided to join the Trinitarian Sisters! WooHoo! Keep her and the sisters in your prayers.

Late entry: Adding to the list of places one might catch some good snippets of Catholic music, Keven was kind enough to send this link to Choral Treasures. Thanks Kevin!

Talking about Catholic Music.... The Cleveland Cathedral Choir (St. John the Evangelist) is one of the finalists in the WCLV/UCC Jubilation Choir Competition (a city-wide competition). Finals take place on May 9th. For those in Cleveland, you can hear live on WCLV 8:00pm (unsure if this is available streaming).

Anon - Yes, streaming is available on WCLV - http://www.wclv.com/

Besides the Cathedral Choir, there are 5 other choirs involved. A good friend of mine conducts the Old Stone Church Choir, who are also in the competition. It should be a great concert!

ROFL! I went to the name thing...my "power animal" is a giant anteater *snicker*, and, well, I'll just quote this one:

Your 'Numerology' number is 6. If it wasn't bulls**t, it would mean that you are responsible, careful, and compassionate. A giver, you are there to support and care for the most vulnerable. (note...the website added the stars to the bad word.)

And I'm EXTREMELY WELL ENVOWELED. Why does that sound so bad?

I also looked it up according to my blogger handle...it lists the Black Widow spider as my power animal (cringe cringe cringe) and that I'm either male or female...they don't know....LOL!

The following is my numerology thingie:

you are adventurous, mercurial, and sensual. You seek growth through adventure and different life experiences. Although you are a critical thinker, you can sometimes over-ponder an issue.

Yup...that's true...sometimes! Seriously people check that link out for a laugh!
