TUESDAY QUOTE OF THE WEEK VII

FINDING TRUTH WHEREVER IT MAY BE FOUND: [N]eeding love has little to do with what is normally meant by deserving love. Thus it is the sinner who most needs God’s love, though it is also the sinner who least deserves it. - James Gaffney

QUOTE II: Who has the harder battle than he who strives to conquer himself? – Thomas a Kempis

Thank you for this list - I look so forward to going through it and visiting. Perhaps it will shed more light than the original Catholic blogparish lineup. There were so many Latin names/mottos I clicked on there, only to find a recipe for bison hooves in piquant sauce, or "allowable" depths of torturing an enemy (those are not made by God, apparently), to which I suggested the rule of thumb be whatever you wouldn't mind another doing to your beloved grandmother, you may do unto these. And indeed, some of my least favorite self-applauding photos in that often Bizarro world lineup is that of men in their priestly black garb, kmeeling with a rifle.

(Yes, I'm afraid that Kempis quote is apt for me, at all times. The Gaffney one above it, too.)

In Christ and in gratitude,
