"Therese" is the French spelling, with accent marks over each letter e. [The French pronunciation is "ter-EZ."]
In English, her name is often written as "Theresa." [The "th" is pronounced as "t."]
"Teresa" is St. Teresa of Avila [from Spain], reformer of the Discalced Carmelite Order.
I have heard them described as "Big Teresa" (of Avila) and "Little Therese" of Lisieux (pronounced "lay--ZOO").
