FINDING TRUTH WHEREVER IT MAY BE FOUND: "Too often our liturgical art, music, and architecture bow to utility and economy, when they should bow to the transcendent. John's vision (The Book of Revelation) inspires us to rethink the ways we design our churches. The visible should be a vehicle for the invisible, giving our senses a taste of the glorious mystery in which we partake, filling our being with reverence and awe, lifting our minds and hearts to heaven." from Scott Hahn's "A Father Who Keeps His Promises"
QUOTE TWO: "The one thing an agnostic knows for sure is: you never know." from Mary Doria Russell's "Children of God"
IN OTHER NEWS:

Well, I'm only 7/8 Irish, so I can only provide the short answer: We aspire to outdoing even one another in CYA. (To whomever worded the sign, all I can say is, "Well done!")

and, recognizing the time of year, new priests being ordained, parochial vicars awaiting new marching orders, pastors hoping to 'let somebody else have these headaches', and all that sort of thing...
will we still be able to find you when we come to cleveland for he vatican exhibit?
Scott Hahn - amazing writer & theologian! I've been in 3 of his Bible Studies (4th one this fall) - always leaving the 10-week session with a yearning for more....and sadness that it ended so soon. His story is also very fascinating...very inspiring.
