In my old parish, that happened on Monday morning. I think they try to match their lipstick to the cross. Not always red but the shades of fades crosses often matched.

For Sure! There is a lot of lipstick at the 9 am mass more so than other mass I have been the mass coordinator for.

Advice to the chosen few: Although it may take 2 or 3 for the most stubborn stains, Hail Mary's work well...And it makes your halo a little straighter and tighter. Until they ban lipstick we will persevere.

Lard works reasonably well to remove lipstick, (my grandmother's recommendation, it's what she used to remove axle grease). Then, any detergent to remove the lard.

The OxiClean Stain remover in the blue spray bottle was recommended to me by a mother of 5. It has removed every stain I tried expect for one that had set for far too long. Might be work a shot.
