I cannot understand a word that is said from the pulpit. My eyesight is getting bad; pretty soon I will not be able to see the preacher. Why go?

@Anonymous: "Why go?" God knows!

P.S. Congrats, Father V, you've held out a lot longer on the glasses than most of us! Right before I read your blog this morning, I was thinking, 'What do they call those so-stylish (eh!) chain things that hold your reading glasses around your neck?' I need to know what they're called so I can find one on Amazon. :(

Dear Father,
Congratulations of not being 49 anymore. The most prayerful time of the day for me is in the morning when I am trying to get up out of bed. "Please Lord Jesus, let me make it to the bathroom in time."

Don't worry Father V, you are still and will always be hardcore, glasses or not.
