TUESDAY QUOTE OF THE WEEK LXXXI

FINDING TRUTH WHEREVER IT MAY BE FOUND: "Refusal to love constitutes the essence of sin. To be denied love is the final tragedy." Gabriel Daly

QUOTE II - "You don't suck people into church by teaching them bad liturgy." Barb Haden, former music teacher at St. Mary Seminary

IN OTHER NEWS:

Don't you think you deserve a visit to Catholic Carnival 188 today?

The Diocese of Cleveland Enewsletter ran this article by Bishop Lennon to clarify when human life begins: "On Sunday, August 24, Speaker Nancy Pelosi of the House of Representatives was interviewed on a national news program. During the course of the conversation the host asked Speaker Pelosi "When does life begin?" In response she said "We don't know". Further, referring to herself as a Catholic, she indicated that this issue has been an issue of controversy in the Church, implying it still is such." Read more here. (I am not making a political statement just in case you were wondering.)

For some reason beyond my ken I was not able to view Saint Sebastian's website but all of a sudden I can. I have been remiss in posting it so I do so now.

My Mother never minded getting lost on trips. She knew that if you were patient and observant you discovered the neatest things while being lost. Every once in a while I get lost searching for something on the Internet (which as we know can sometimes be dangerous) but other times you discover neat sites like this one: the Wholly Catholic blog.

Catholic Online has a great Catholic Site Directory. Check it out here.

So one last errant finding. I was looking for an image of Bishop Lennon and this image came up as Bishop Lennon Art. Somehow I don't think there is any real connection.

But there is a connection for us....that wonderful hummingbird that stopped to feed on the flowers in front of you at Mass a few weeks ago!
