SUNDAY VIDEO ON TAP - LIII

Life IS good. (Eternal life is better.) (2:31)

IN OTHER NEWS:

Jay announces that Catholic Carnival 160 is being celebrated at A Third Way this week.

Here is something interesting: Vocationsplacement.org says of itself: "For the sake of graciously serving Christ, His Church, and His people, it is the mission of Vocations Placement to replenish every Roman Catholic religious community and diocese in the U.S. By filling out this application you are stating that you are open to participation in the fulfillment of this mission." There is a questionaire that they ask you to fill out and then submit. "By submitting this application I am also confirming that I am Catholic, single, in good physical and mental health, and am open to a religious vocation." If anyone should do this let us know if it seems pretty sound.

L.M. sends this site in. She in particular thinks that this article on confession is great but recommends the site in general is "it is full of good information." Catholic Home and Garden's mission is to preserve Catholic traditions for tommorrow's Catholics.
I hate to do this but it seems that a change is called for in the comments section. Because someone keeps leaving a message that could potentially lead to a virus the forum cannot be quite as open as it has been. I know it's a pain. Sorry.

I did the Vocations Placement thing about a year ago and we entirely dissatisfied with the result. They contacted numerous religious orders on my behalf that did not fit my profile. I had to tell many vocation directors that I was not intersted in their orders for various reasons. Maybe if one has not really begun to discern their call it might be useful, but it has been a disaster in my in-box. A friend tried it too and was equally disappointed with the outcome. It sounded good, but unfortunately isn't.
