TUESDAY QUOTE OF THE WEEK XLV

FINDING TRUTH WHEREVER IT MAY BE FOUND: "Make no small plans. They have not the fire to stir men's blood." Daniel Burnam

QUOTE II - (Here's a good one as we try out our New Year's resolutions.) "We do well to keep in mind that human beings do not always live what they profess nor profess what they live." Dr. Armand M. Nichol, Jr,

IN OTHER NEWS:

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! MAY GOD BLESS YOU IN 2008!

L.M. and her brother D. were kind enough to give my family a Christmas surprise by remaking the header for the USS PRIDE blog! It is really quite stunning. Take a look if you get a chance. Thank you guys!

Rob meme'd with an interesting meme. If you want to read more about it go to his original post.

The idea… it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for one blog friend. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to. If you recieve a blogginblessin’ please leave a comment on this thread here so that we can rejoice in just how many blessings have been sent around the world!

First is Adoro - (aka Cyber-sis) for her support, kindness, willingness to reach out and share her wisdom, and for the prayers I know she sends this way. (How's the snow out there?)

Uncle Jim is next - another great cyber-friend. I am still so thrilled you came all the way to Ohio for an Adam's Ale get together! We enjoyed your company so much and I have greatly appreciated your support and wise words from the very beginning of Adam's Ale.

And finally, Just Me (even though I feel guilty for not posting there for two weeks. I'll be back soon.) I don't know where you find your energy to be so positive and encouraging to so many people. Thank you.

My prayer for you guys (and Rob - and all those who have read this blog) is that you will know better the worth and dignity with which your Creator cherishes you and that He send His blessings upon you in this New Year so that you will be constantly surprise by His love.

Now, here is your mission should you decide to accept it:

a) Bless 3 blog buddies each
b) Include the ‘God Bless you’ image in their post
c) Explain briefly why they are blessing the people they are blessing
d) pray/include in the post the prayer for the recipients of the blessing.
e)The recipient/sender of a blessing should type in the com box of Deb’s original post that a blessing has been sent to them so we can keep track of how many blessings are being given. For easy reference a link to her post will make it into Deb’s sidebar.

My goodness, there are so many people I want to bless! How to choose?

Thank you so much. :-) How I need and welcome blessing. I'm like a filthy raggy creeping bundle which no one is sure is both human and viable, until the eyes are noted. Thank you for noting the eyes.

And as Al would say, "Hoo-WAH.." You do realize I've been known to agonize for decades in making a choice between just two of whomever/whatever? And here, out of all who are so generous, talented, humble, and spiritually fecund (from which I myself can draw energy), I must choose only 3 to publicly bless? Oy! Well, we big-eyed bundles like a challenge. I'm on it, Chief. :-)
