It is very moving how these brave men responded. Clearly, God gave them a special grace for that moment. I think it's safe to say that these type of situations are not far off for Church in the United States. I can just imagine the liberal opining of a secular editoral page trying to influence the uneducated and the lukewarm toward all the usual progressive stances. And can we trust the objectivity of reporters? I don't think so. I am still smarting over the "journalism" that was printed in Catholic-related articles in the now-defunct Newsweek Magazine.
