It was wonderfully enlightening. It was so good to see footage of his face-to- face interactions with the Argentine people. <br /><br />I was particularly struck by his graciousness to Argentine president, Cristina Fernandez who demonized his vigorous opposition on the very matters which the mainstream media would say that he doesn't care about, namely abortion, contraception, and the redefinition of marriage. Although she had refused his many requests for meetings with her back when he was archbishop in Argentina, he showed great hospitality to her when she visited him as pope in Rome. (Even the secular press got <a href="http://world.time.com/2013/03/18/the-pope-and-argentinas-president-friends-at-last/" rel="nofollow">that story</a> right, so it seems.)
